It's February, it's still cold, but it is getting lighter, there is more life in the town, and there are some dates to look forward to:

12th February - this month's talk (see below)

14th February - the Heritage Centre reopens to the public

26th February - our members coffee morning

We have our February Talk one week earlier than normal this month on 12th February rather than 19th.

This is being given by the owners of Deepdale Farm in Burnham. Anna Biesty has written about the Farm and the work they do there as follows:

Deepdale Farm is a 300 hectare (750 acre), organic, arable, family-run farm on the North Norfolk Coast. After major flooding in early 2020 we knew we had to change our farming methods. Since then, we have been on a regenerative farming journey, learning about the health of our soil, the biodiversity on the farm, using cover crops and converting to be certified organic. It has been a learning curve for us all, navigating the government's evolving environmental land management schemes, supported by the wider farming community, as regenerative farming becomes more main stream.
